Characters

Sorry I know I haven't updated my blog for a while now, well for those who actually view my blog. Anyways here are two of my characters that I've created a while back and recently they have been revamped. These two characters are bounty hunters who are hired to capture a potentially innocent private eye accused of kidnapping.

This here is Chris Monroe. This young and arrogant assassin lives to kill and has no guilt of the ruthless things he does. Although he is not without his flaws, he wears his MP3 player as he does his murderous acts, he says he focuses better with his excessively loud music but his partner Roger Chambliss thinks it's because Chris drowns the noise of the pleading victims as he slays them. Not hearing his victims' words keeps what little emotions and guilt he has at bay.
This is Roger Chambliss and the most experienced of the two bounty hunters. He teaches Chris the tricks of the trade and tries to get him to quit his cruel ways. Roger stimulates what little concience Chris has left.

Fun with Chalk Festival

This year I was invited by a friend to attend the fun with chalk festival in Mission Viejo. I agreed and so the following pictures insued. The chalk drawing we made was 12ft by 12ft, which is surely the biggest piece I have ever worked on. This project took about three days to finish, with the help of the three other artists of course. It was a great experience for me I really hope to do another one soon. We even won best in show for the piece that we did.

These are the members of our crew, Me on the left, Lisa Farnsworth, Everardo Galvez, and below Ami Smith.

The final finished piece. Took approximately 15 to 17 hours to complete in a span of three days.

Two more Jack and the Beanstalk Illustrations

Jack and the Beanstalk Pt.1

Here's an illustration I created from the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk". This is the first of 5 illustrations I created for my Sequential art class. More illustrations will be posted weekly. Enjoy.

B&W Illustrations and more digital.

Here are some more of my digital illustrations and some illustrations done with graphite and charcoal. Enjoy. The theme for this one was "machines and the world of tomorrow". I wanted to make a humorous spin on this illustration where humanoid robots are a great help to humans in more ways than one.

This one is a book cover for the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

I made this one in my traditional illustration class. It's suppose to be a memory of my childhood, going to Mexico and taking a dip in the river with my cousins.

This last one is my third illustration for the book "The Little Sister" by Raymond Chandler. This one was done with charcoal on toned canson paper.

Next time I'll upload illustrations I've made for the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Digital illustrations

Here are a few of my digital illustrations that I have created this past semester from my classes.

These illustrations are based from a Raymond Chandler novel called "The Little Sister".

The first is a still unfinished illustration of a murder scene where the perpretrator murders an informant of Philip Marlowe, the main character of the story, by stabbing him in the neck.

This next one is an illustration of Phillip Marlowe about to get clubbed by a bad guy from behind. I've used a photograph for the background and messed around with the levels a little bit. I wan't to rework this one a lot, maybe change the composition of the piece. I'll make sure to post up any changes I do on this illustration.
